Weight Loss Journey – Part 2

It’s been rough, but I lost 5 pounds (roughly) since the last entry! For those who are joining me now, I’m trying to drop from about 230 pounds to under 200 pounds. Ideally, I would like to hit 180, but one step at a time. I’ve been doing Cardio kickboxing on Mondays and Wednesdays and Wing Chun and Filipino Stick fighting on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Switching back and forth really makes it tolerable and allows your body to rest. On days I don’t have cardio, I go to the YMCA to peddle on the stationary bike for 45 minutes just to have some kind of cardio that day. Nothing intense, just to feel the blood pumping before class.

Besides the activities, I’ve reduced my caloric intake. I’ve reduced carbs (not eliminated entirely) and that, naturally, reduced my daily calories. I haven’t taken pictures yet, but I will next time. I wanted to give an update that it’s slowly working! The goal is to not just lose weight, but to specifically lose fat. I need to start eating right and keep pushing with the physical activities. It’s nice to finally see things going in the right direction.
